EARTH IN BALANCE GAME

PR03
An interactive simulation game where players manage environmental systems such as energy use, food production, urban development, and resource consumption. Through real time scenarios, players
make decisions that impact both the health of the planet and human well being, experiencing the consequences over time.

MISSION FOCUS

This video game reinforces the Sierra Club mission of leading environmental advocacy, mobilizing individuals and driving climate solutions so that future communities inherit a healthy, equitable, and resilient world, by
placing players in realistic scenarios where environmental decisions directly affect communities, health and ecosystems. It turns advocacy into action by showing
how policy, resource use, and urban planning shape
a more equitable and sustainable future. By simulating choices related to energy, food, urban development,
and resource use, the game reveals direct effects
on air quality, physical health, and mental resilience.

SIMILAR TO

City-building simulations like SimCity and Cities: Skylines.

HOW IT IS DIFFERENT

Uses realistic constraints such as budgets, and zoning limits. Players balance development with environmental regulations, public health, and community needs. Outcomes reflect real-world consequences like pollution levels, resource shortages, and resident well-being, aligning with the mission of the Sierra Club.
The Earth in Balance game includes realistic constrains, to help players balance development with environmental regulations.

WELL BEING MAPS

ED11
Interactive maps that show how environmental conditions such as air quality, green space, and noise levels impact physical and mental health across locations. Users can explore areas, compare conditions, and choose routes or places that support their well being.

MISSION FOCUS

The Nature and Well Being Map reinforces the Sierra Club mission of leading environmental advocacy, mobilizing individuals and driving climate solutions
so that future communities inherit a healthy, equitable, and resilient world, by making the connection between environmental conditions and human health visible
and actionable. By showing real time data on air quality, heat, noise, and access to green space, they help individuals understand how their surroundings affect physical and mental well being. They guide concrete actions such as choosing healthier routes, spending
time in better quality environments, and avoiding high exposure areas. They also support environmental advocacy by highlighting inequalities and encouraging community action, policy support, and investment in healthier, more equitable environments.

HOW IT IS DIFFERENT

They focus on the direct relationship between environment and human well being while guiding everyday decisions such as commuting, outdoor
activity, and location choices.

RESET STATIONS

EV13
Small installations in cities offering clean air, shade, cooling, and sensory relief. Designed as quick recovery points from environmental stress, they provide immediate physical and mental support in dense urban areas.

MISSION FOCUS

The Urban Reset Stations reinforce the Sierra Club mission of leading environmental advocacy, mobilizing individuals and driving climate solutions so that future communities inherit a healthy, equitable, and resilient world, by providing immediate relief from environmental stress while demonstrating how urban design can support both people and the planet. These stations offer cleaner air, shade, cooling, and planting a tree activities in high impact areas, helping individuals recover from heat and pollution. They support human well being by reducing stress, improving comfort, and protecting against heat related and environmental health risks. They also drive environmental advocacy by modeling solutions such
as green infrastructure and climate responsive design.

SIMILAR TO

Public cooling centers, wellness pods, urban
rest areas.

HOW IT IS DIFFERENT

They combine environmental intervention with immediate personal benefit, turning a simple pause into a moment
that improves well being and encourages better environmental choices.
